A night out in glamour town.

I rarely wear these Topshop silk harems, but they're amazing and i love them, i just never know what to wear them with! For this i decided to make them the statement of the look and so just wore a black vest tucked in with a gold buckled belt to add a bit of glam. Paired with these gorgeous Asos heels which have the cutest lace covering they make the outfit a little more evening suitable. Worn when going out to dinner with a few friends to celebrate the end of this weeks exams. I just throw on my oversized blazer and a few gold bangles to make the outfit fit for purpose. Was a lovely evening, but i've still got 3 exams next week!

The most spontaneous afternoons are the best ones.

So, i've finally finished my History AS exams, wahooo! After i finished a friend and i went back to mine and ended up sitting in the garden, sunnies, smiles, salad and smoothies while listening to a bit of Buble. The whole summery atmosphere got me craving for July and, while in a summery mood i decided to show you a few key pieces i'm planning on getting for my summer wardrobe 2011!

    Hola!
So, this outfit was put together fairly quickly, decided to go with more of an evening feel again. I paired the tailored shorts with the black fluffy waistcoat as i think the contrast of the texture and tailoring makes this outfit. Adding a thin black belt, brogues and a shell necklace just pulled the outfit together. But to top it off i decided to go with a dark red lipstick just to give the outfit that edgy look im loving recently.

Oversized blazer, my love for you is crazaaay.

Sorry about the lack of posts recently, am in the middle of thousands of exams but i still promise to be better!
So, after completing both my history and geography AS exams today (a double whammy of exams is NOT COOL) i decided to just come home and watch Glee, and after several chocolate biscuits and a cuppa i was all inspired. As a distraction from exams and the feeling of desire to treat myself after much revision the day before i decided to try on millions of outfits. However now my wardrobe is a floordrobe which isn't so great, but oh well!

For this outfit i went for a sophisticated-evening-ish feel. The bare legs covered by long grey knee-high socks is perfs for the weather right now, which isn't so great here in London! The high waist pink skirt is the only bit of colour and teamed with a pallete of greys and blacks it gives it emphaise and is also drawn in to create a waist using a thin black belt with silver buckle detailing. i added an oversized blazer as, if you didn't know already, im in LOVE with oversized knits and any form of jacket. Topped with accessories, a clutch given to me as a gift; i love the studding on the front and the oversized opening, it makes it such a statement bag and also adds a edgy feel to the outfit. I also wore it with a silver bracelet i found in a small store when in New York, although its tarnished a bit i actually think i like it more that way, gives it more of a glam-rock feel ya know?

    Animation.

So, i do AS art and my exam is on wednesday (uh oh!) ive literally spent half my week on the mac editing and drawing my animation that im including with my final - its taken for ever.

    BUT IVE FINALLY FINISHED IT!

It was so fun to get to try out animation as i've never tried it out before.
So, my art theme is Mystery and Imagination so i decided to first look at Greek Mythology and then developed that into looking at the Christian Creation Story.
Im really opposed to animal testing and how humans think they are superior to animals, so i decided to give animals a voice and used role reversal so that the animals were made more superior than humans. This occurred by making Adam and Eve bribe the Serpent with an apple, however the Serpent refuses and it turns out Adam and Eve were trying to capture it. The animation ends with Adam revealing he is actually a Centaur, this is because Centaurs in Greek Mythology symbolise the evil side of nature and are usually portrayed as drunken beings. Hope you like it!

With everything going on in my life recently from exams to the usual teen dramas of friendship I've found it very hard to constantly post, and seeing as I have no blog followers, I guess that's ok.
It was my birthday over the weekend and a group of friends and I all went to the park for a picnic (we felt very sophisticated with our Pimms and olives), for this I had a maajor wardrobe crisis as I felt the need to dress up a bit seeing as it was my birthday, but still play it cool as we were in the park. After much deliberation I was left with an enormous floordrobe, pink cheeks and an outfit consisting of an Urban Outfitters cream blouse, Topshop earings and Superdry denim hotpants paired with some black strappy sandals from H&M.
Overall the evening was lovely and we ended up in the park snuggled up with blankets, hot chocolate and fluffy socks. I was even able to whip out the oversized cardigan my sister had bought back while skiing in Boston - its so cosy and has huuuge pockets to keep your hands snug!
I'll post a picture of the outfit once I have them loaded onto the mac but for now, hope you've all enjoyed your long weekend. Its back to constant revision for me, hope you're all enjoying yourselves doing far more exciting things!

    Vintage find.

So, while looking through some old stuff i found this rather cute belt, the buckle is amazing and the design is just as cute and has a retro feel due to the circular patterns which contrast its tan, aged colours.  It went perfectly with my outfit of turned up American Eagle chinos, American Apparel leotard, brown suede booties and Topshop bomber jacket with an oversized fur neckline.

Went well for my day of visiting fam who i havent seen in yonks; stylish and cosy.

    Weekly wonderings, daily doings.

If im honest, im a very passionate person, and i have an awful (yet very good) feeling that my new passion may be this blog.

Over the years however, my obsess- *cough* passions, have mainly focused on the unobtainable lust for certain drop dead gorgeous male celebrities; Justin Bieber, Zac Efron and The Wanted to name but a few.
Last year, in contrast, my passion became more of an addiction, which was directed to none other than Twitter. The amount of time i spent on that site was actually unbelievable and after a few thousand tweets, several sad goodbyes and a few tears, i cancelled my amount.
The end of a Twitter era, however here starts a new one, a Blogging era.

Today ive literally done no revision and, even though i have 2 weeks of spare days which i'll cram full of text book work, i feel bad. Ive managed to achieve nothing! I hate non productive days like this when time merges and the day just blurs into one long drained hour of brainlessness. However im off out in a bit so that will account for some element of my days productivity. But work-wise ive achieved zero. zilch. nil. nada.

On the other hand, ive got myself a shiny new blog that is set to achieve great things, with a little help from my "way with words" , "style knowledge" and "undying wit". (i feel the need to tell you all i am joking, if you didnt gather from the quotation marks already)

But, this will be a style blog with a hint of my own weekly wonderings and daily doings.

    In the spirit of things.

I feel the need, due to this absolutely scorching weather (for British standards!) to post a summery picture. Took this recently when in the park with friends, attempting to revise in the sun but just ending up tanning; i now have rather odd tan lines.

Anyway, in celebration of the London sun...

    New era.

my first blog post, this is rather exciting!

I think i'll start by describing my happenings over the past few days, which can literally be summed up in a word: revision.

Why is it that whenever revision calls, the sun decides to make an appearance?
    Life can be cruel.

Im busy revising for my AS exams which are in 5 weeks and, to put it bluntly - Im bricking it. Revision is going to take up my whole Easter holidays and i've already become an antisocial hermit man (yes i have now started growing a beard! And yes, it is possible for girls to become hermit MEN) I may as well take the time, while on the topic of revision, to tell you all (i say 'all',  but i doubt anyone will actually read this) the subjects i study: English Language and Literature, Geography, History and Art.
    Art is a killer.
    But i love it.

Im an art geek you see.
